Anne was the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus! She was a woman of faith who inspired her daughter to trust in God’s plan for our lives. She probably never fathomed how important that lesson would become. When the angel Gabriel visited Mary, Anne’s influence on Mary’s “let it be†changed history. Today, Anne is the patron saint of homemakers and women in labor. She is also the patron of miners for her role in safeguarding Jesus (gold) and Mary (silver).
